We've got plenty of these little LEGO minifigures sitting around, and currently they are lined precariously on my son's dresser, falling over every time we get out a new pair of shorts. I love this DIY shelf that can house the little buggers while still allowing kids access to them for play.
Karin Schaefer from the Swedish blog Pysselbolaget put together this simple project that requires only a cardboard tube and some pretty papers. The compartments come together so easily that kids can help make them, and certainly they can help choose whatever papers they might like for decoration. Once it's hung, let them go crazy deciding who (or what) goes in each spot.
Instructions are, helpfully, in both Swedish and English.
