Although those small plastic letters are nostalgic to many of us, the jury is still out on what the plastic they're made from contains. Instead of waiting around to find out Gina of the Daily Bmade her own from fabric scraps during afternoon nap time!
Gina has been busy during the brief, yet coveted afternoon nap time. She only made it through letter J before her children were awake again, so the rest will have to wait until later, but she assures us it's a simple project that anyone can take on.
Gina placed scrap felt between scrap fabric pieces and traced her letters. After cutting them out and attaching a magnet she sewed their edges closed. If your fridge isn't magnetic, try placing them on the dishwasher or even washing machine to keep little hands entertained while you're rotating laundry. Check out the full tutorial on this fun project over at The Daily B.

White Enamel Flatwa...
What a great idea! I'm in the middle of making a framed, fabric-covered magnetic board to put over my son's desk in his new "big-boy" room. I will definitely be making some of these!!
that is a really cute idea. i am not one for sticking stuff to my fridge, but i might just have to make an exception for these! good scrap usage too.
Brilliant! Now if only I had *any* naptime happening...
