We can talk all we want about bringing life into our homes and living spaces, but when it comes right down to it, making them attractive isn't always cheap. Plants themselves can be pricey and the pots…well batten down the hatches boys, because those can run you hundreds of dollars — but not this one!

Over at Bungalow Bungahigh they've been raiding their local IKEA for planters —or rather trash cans! These simple FNISS trash cans will only run you $1.99 each and although they're a little tall at 30 centimeters, we're pretty sure you could fill the bottom with things from your recycle bin or even some mulch or compost from the garden if needs be to help cut down the weight of things.

They drilled a hole in the bottom, loaded them up and now they sit all tall and pretty in their home. With the addition of a dinner plate under the bottom to catch any drips, the look is complete and they still have more budget remaining for more plants or even date night! More details over at Bungalow Bungahigh.
