Nothing fills us with a nostalgia for the days of our youth quite like the holidays. But while we may fondly remember hiking into the woods with our family to cut down a twelve-foot Christmas tree, our modern day reality probably dictates a different type of family-centered tree activity. Why not build your own, and as a bonus, have it fit right in with your modern decor.
Rayan of The Design Confidential has come up with a simple way to make a perfect little modern tree, using just a few pieces of lumber and some basic woodworking skills. Though the picture shows it unpainted and unadorned, she points out (and we heartily agree) that the possibilities for decorating are endless. Mini felted figures, origami animals, a simple strand of white lights would all look right at home on this project.
The tutorial is clear and easy to follow, and can be found on The Design Confidential.
