So the holidays are almost here, your packages are almost wrapped, gifts are being finished up and your sewing machine can finally take a well deserved break. All around you sit scraps from other projects, so instead of tossing them all in a box for next year, try this quick craft that doesn't require much extra effort and is super kid friendly. Click through to see the final result!

Over at Zakka Life they've been busy poking fabric into Styrofoam and although that sounds a little odd, the end results are super fun and ridiculously easy for tiny hands to help create.

To push the fabric bits and pieces (leftover ribbon bits would work well too) in, an embossing tool was used but we're thinking there might be a few other "tools" laying around the house. Perhaps a metal skewer or even a tweezer.

Check out the full play by play over at Zakka Life and put those scraps to good use. Even if you don't want to hang them on the tree this year, they could be easy teacher's presents for next year or gifts for visitors to your home!
