Make a Paper Flag Bunting

Buntings are still popping up everywhere and we're still happy to see them. For the new year, consider making this easy paper flag bunting we saw over at Lilla A. It doesn't require any special supplies, involves the kids, is easy for parents, and the results can be put up to beautify your space. How can you not want to try?

You'll need to gather your supplies: an old book you don't mind ripping up, some watercolors and brushes, scissors, glue, and if you want, fire up your sewing machine. Let your child go to town on painting the pages. When dry, cut strips from the painted pages to make stripes and crosses on other painted pages to create different flags. You can glue them or sew them for added texture like we saw on Lilla A. Sew or glue to a ribbon and hang - instant color for any room in the house.
