Mimi (a.k.a. Shiso Mama) came up with the great idea of playing Pass the Parcel at her son Otis' birthday party. Mimi describes the game as "a cross between Musical Chairs and unwrapping a surprise ball." You play music and pass around a big surprise ball filled with goodies. When the music stops, the child holding the surprise ball gets to unwrap a layer and get the present. So how do you make the surprise ball?

All you need are toys or treats and crepe paper. Check out Mimi's blog, Shiso Mama, for instructions, tips and more photos.
