If you're anything like us, you've found that since becoming a parent, tote bags of all sizes have proliferated around your house. We use them for everything from lunch/snack bags to small-toy receptacles to diaper caddies. And yet, despite the number of totes we own, we always find ourselves short when we really need one. This incredibly easy DIY shows how to make cute bags using cast-off t-shirts. This short video
, created by students in the Make
course at Parsons, provides a full demonstration, but the steps are, in a nutshell:
1. Cut off sleeves and neck.
2. Sew shirt closed along bottom hem.
We can also imagine 101 uses for smaller bags made from your kiddo's favorite outgrown tees, and larger bags out of man-sized tees.
