Make Darling Diy Twist Ties

Last week we featured this rad tutorial on making your own faux-Japanese masking tape and although it looks pretty, some of you were still curious on alternative ways to put it to use. So when we came across these super cute diy twist ties, we knew it would be a perfect fit for birthday parties or back to school teacher gifts!

The idea is simple and you'll need a thin gauge wire, wire cutters and pinking shears. Sandwich the wire between the tape and cut to decorate it! Check out the full tutorial over at Zakka Life where you'll find step-by-step instructions.

We think it's a simple way to dress up almost any gift or even sacked lunch as we start to think about heading back to school. Plus, it gives us an excuse to make some of that tape and use pinking shears, because seriously, there's just not enough need for them in this world!
