One silver lining of this unhappy recession is the entrepreneurial spirit it's fostered in those who no longer want the uncertainty of working for someone else. Take the 2010 RISD Graphic Design MFAs who've set up their own shop based on their thesis exhibition that they plan to bring to other cities, starting at the Brooklyn Flea this weekend.
The items for sale are thoughtful and conceptual, but are also beautifully designed, useful objects. Visit the Make, Do website to learn more about the designers and check out their flickr to see what they'll be selling at the Brooklyn Flea. We're rooting for these talented kids to make it.
