We've mentioned Knock Off Wood before and are happy to show off another creation from Ana, the wood working vixen who can handle any project set before her. This time around she decided to repurpose an old shipping pallet into super shelving. Somehow it makes things even more heroic to know she used a Sawsall in the snow to get the job done in a jiffy!
Ana had an extra pallet laying around and always wanting to put things to good use, she set to work. After cutting off each end, she attached 1'X4's inside to create a bottom and in right around 5 minutes, she made 2 great shelves.
We love the collections in each one and think they could make great holders all throughout the home. They could hold rolled towels in the bathroom or a vignetted grouping of items. It really is that simple to make them yourself and bring a little bit of that worn industrial vibe into your space.
Make sure you hop over and read the full story on how she came about having a spare pallet in her possession and check out a few pictures of the work in progress.
Thanks Ana!

Now that's a darn useful project. Pallet wood is lightweight too, so it'll hang well. I'm going to make me a spice rack!
Sarah, thank you so much for featuring this article. Who knows how many trashed pallets will not end up in landfills because of you and Apartment Therapy. And the shelves are beautiful! Thank you, thank you!

I love those shelves and want one. I love the rustic, comfy feeling the wood gives off. Reminds me of the wooden storage bins they use in World Market.
Love seeing Ana featured here again. I'm obsessed with her blog & so amazed by her talent.
If Martha Stewart and Macguyver had a baby, that baby might be almost as clever and resourceful as Ana.
