Even though this Valentine's Day card is geared for children to pass out, we can see a ridiculous amount of possibilities for transforming this into a more adult version. With your minds out of the gutter, check out a few of our ideas after the jump!
First of all, who doesn't love a Dum Dum sucker? Any excuse (besides going inside the bank) to acquire one is always a treat and everyone always has a favorite. Dare we say, grown-ups are... suckers for them?
We love the idea of creating your own photographic Valentine and think you could have all sorts of fun. Put that Halloween costume hiding in the back of your closet to use, Darth Vader posing with his light saber sucker could make for a fun card, or even take a close up of your own face, like you're holding a rose between your teeth and insert the sucker there!
You can check out the full tutorial over at House On Hill Road, how would you put the idea to use? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Shaw's Original Fir...
hahaa very cute idea
This is a GREAT idea! However, it would be fun to put other sorts of candy or treats. I'm struggling with thinking of anything but a sucker. any ideas?
aahah i love it!
This is an AWESOME idea and the possibilities are endless! I think I might have my kids do this.
Love it!
this is SO AWESOME. i just finished making treats on sticks for my kids' classmates (i poked lolly sticks into marshmallows and dipped them in pink candy melts), and this is EXACTLY what they need. yessssssss!
@Ihemi33 -- I've never done this before, but here are a few other candy/theme ideas that might work to get your creative juices flowing....
Photo: Head and shoulders shot, lying down
Candy: Small bag (M&Ms, skittles, etc.) as a pillow
Theme: Dreaming of you on Valentine's Day
Photo: Close-up, maybe only the top half of your head
Candy: Individually-wrapped Lifesavers as the trail of a conversation bubble
Theme: Whatever you want. Use a round sticker as the actual conversation bubble
Photo: Far away, standing.
Candy: Anything boxy, like a KitKat or box of conversation hearts. You could position it so you're standing on top of it, leaning against it, etc.
Theme: Wanted to give you a huge gift, but couldn't fit it in the backpack/mailbox/etc.
Include chocolate, and I'm in! Foil wrapped hearts, chocolate kisses, mini bars... I don't have a design suggestion, but I support the spread of chocolate!
Cinnamon red hots are also a spicy option! (In little jewelry sized zippie bags...)
I love this idea!! Thanks for the inspiration!
I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for this inspiration. For once I made good on my word and had my kids do these, they were a HUGE hit.
Heres ours:
Son (this is a smaller, less fancy version of what he actually passed out. No originals were left)
