I rather like Halloween decorations, but sometimes they just feel a little cheap or over the top you know? This project creates a more toned down, yet festive look that even if you don't use it for Halloween is still a great project for any time of year.

Stephanie Lynn over at Under The Table and Dreaming has put together these pretty plates that look festive without feeling too spooky or creepy.

She started with clear plates, a printed image, some fabric and decoupage medium. Once the fabric was painted it was applied to the plates and let dry. When hung, the plates give the fabric a glossy look that feels polished. It's a lighter take on Halloween decor that's a great project to have up your sleeve for any holiday.

Remember, plates of this nature can be eaten from, but not washed. So if you're not hanging them on the wall, they could be a tray for cookies, just wipe it down by hand instead of tossing it in the dishwasher. Head over to Under The Table and Dreaming for all the details to get this look at home.
