I really have a thing for using doilies in new ways. There's just so much love and skill that goes into making them that they should be getting more mileage than they usually do! A little bit of granny chic goes a long way, so I'm thinking these simple soap covers are just perfect.

Dollar Store Crafts love repurposing things just as much as I do and they recently featured this great little project from Kristy at kootoyou. I instantly fell in love. Similar to felted soap, these small soaps made from doilies and a bit of elastic cord will add a bit of exfoliation to your cleaning routine. You can see the full tutorial over at kootoyou but imagine how you could use them! A cute basket of them in your bathroom, gifts at a shower or reception, or heck, just for fun! They're sweet and simple without feeling stuffy.
