By far my favorite hobby, as a kid, was Making Things. One of the coolest things I ever made (in fourth-grade Vacation Bible School, I think, so shout-out to those brave volunteers who melted wax with fourth-graders) was a candle colored with crayon wax. So when I saw this colorful candle DIY from Brit + Co, I was pretty psyched. If anyone needs me, I'll be re-living my childhood.
The instructions look pretty straightforward: melt wax in the microwave, and pour it into a glass jar (held at a slight angle by a plate stand — that's clever). The color possibilities are nearly endless (helloo, Crayola 120 count box), and the color blocked look is very now.
And you know what's a cool thing about living in the internet age? Sourcing supplies for projects like these is super easy. If you're at a loss as to where to find things like candle wicks or a plate stand, you can always find them on Amazon. The blogger, Misty, even provides links. Happy crafting!
