These easy DIY candle holders can add a crafty, bohemian look to your holiday home. They would be a good project for the little ones, too. Follow me after the jump to find out more…

This DIY was originally created to satisfy the stringent 'no flame' rules of dorm life while still creating a cozy environment. I think they would also translate well in a home. I like the layered look they give as well as the frosted ambient light. All you need is wax paper, tea lights (electronic) and a little time spent folding. You could even dip the bottoms in paint or glitter for a little extra sparkle.

OMG, don't use real candles... This tutorial is for electric candles only...
Have you ever seen waxed paper burn?
Use brown paper bags with sand at the bottom, this is very common in New Mexico where I live.
The actual design sponge post emphasises that you should not use real candles with these.
This is poor editing -- please remove the reference to real candles -- it's dangerous and irresponsible of you.
cakearoll - we do this with brown paper bags here in the northeast -- but always outside.
Post has been corrected - electronic candles only! Thanks!
Bravo!
