Have you ever seen a project and thought to yourself, "Why didn't I think of that?" That's exactly the reaction we had to these simple chalkboard lids for your homemade baby foods. Forget labels that keep peeling off, chalkboard spray paint is the way to go! They're made by the same person behind those fabulous chalkboard pillows from last week — hey, we think we see a pattern here!

Although the ideas of food and spray paint don't often mix, we have to say they go together quite well in this case. Kathy over at Merriment Design was looking for an easy and inexpensive way to keep her baby foods in order and has decided that chalkboard paint is the way to go!

We love the look (it covers all the text and bar codes from the original lid! Score!) and think it's a great way to keep track of your goods. Make sure you check out the full tutorial over at Merriment Design where there's a few great tips on the proper placement of double sided tape to keep things from blowing away during the process and how to apply the paint so it doesn't drip!

Thanks Kathy!
