DIY Idea: Easter Eggs for Halloween

Martha Stewart

101212-skeleton1.jpg For the most part plastic Easter eggs really only have use around, you guessed it, Easter. With a little paint and creative gumption you might be able to pull them back out of the closet this month and put them to work for Halloween.

This Halloween treat gift box was featured on the Martha Stewart site. Their version (shown here) uses egg-shaped paper boxes, but we're wondering if you couldn't do a little creative reuse with leftover plastic Easter Eggs instead? You could hit them with a little white spray paint, some craft paint, or even leave them as is and just add facial features. The finished eggs would be fun for an All Hallow's Eve egg hunt.
