Years ago, when I first saw this idea on SouleMama, I filed it away knowing that someday, somehow, a Banging Wall would be mine. Now that my kiddos are two and five, and spring is around the corner, this just may be our year.
Like so many amazing ideas (and Amanda has many of them), this one is simple. Build a frame, then attach old pots, lids, muffin tins, and whathaveyou – the more the better. Get sticks. Bang till your hands tingle. Sounds soul-satisfying, am I right?
It goes without saying that this idea would not fly in an urban setting... and probably most suburban settings, for that matter. In our case, we're planning to build our banging wall at our family cabin, but wouldn't this be a great idea for a preschool or a public playground? And, you know, when the noise starts to get oppressive, the sticks could always magically disappear for a bit.

I've always loved this idea, too. The sun is shining here today. Hmm ...
This idea has been in the back of my mind for a LONG time! We are finally going to construct one for my son's fourth birthday party .... i'll have to warn the neighbours first though!
Yeah, I could see my geriatric neighbors crapping their pants over this.
This is so totally going on my nature trail! Living out in the woods, this will be perfect! Great idea!
