At first glance, this looks like a can of soup. At second glance, you realize that its contents are anything but ordinary. And then, for those that would dare, you pull up the spoon only to reveal a secret stash. What kid wouldn’t want this? It’s gross. It’s tricky. And it hides your cool stuff. Quite possibly a kids' trifecta of perfection.
We wouldn’t necessarily call this project “simple”; Scott Bedford is definitely showing off his impressive illustration skills that we may not all posess. But don’t let that stop you from putting your own spin on it. For the how-to details check out his downloadable and beautifully illustrated instructions over at What I Made.

Jackie,
When I first saw this, I thought "oh look! a clever way to hide my chocolate stash from my husband and kids!!" And then I realized this is actually meant FOR the kids! Ha!
Either way, it's a cool idea. And I bet if you didn't want to DIY you could buy a fake soup can safe/key holder somewhere. Don't they make those?
