There were several sleek outdoor lighting options in many magazines and home decor websites this past summer season. This homeowner took matters into her own hands and decided to take on a little diy project that would be perfect for big spaces or small. Plus, you get an excuse to buy a concrete form, and how cool are those things?
Ok, so maybe only I'm obsessed with concrete forms, but still, it's a great idea. With a little form filling and displacing, these tall concrete sculptures were born. With the addition of a glass shade, some rocks and a candle, this outdoor space has all new lighting for a literal fraction of the price of its retail counterparts.
Not only does this work outside on a patio, balcony or deck, it would also work inside for those with open floor plans and loft spaces. Check out all the details over at In My Own Style.

Nice. These would look great with some concrete stain on them, too.
Wow, they definitely need a coat of stain and glaze, some graphic pattern or even graffiti. Reminds me too much of the utility poles we banged at, out of exasperating boredom as preteens.
I like them, without a coat of stain and glaze.
Love em!
