Doilies sound so old lady, but in all reality, they're amazingly beautiful and intricate. You might have some in your household that are passed down from generations, but just don't know how to display them. Instead of feeling like your Grandma's house, you could try this pop art take on something old and make it new. What do you think of the idea?
Becca in Texas picked up a bottle of Mod Podge at her local craft store and turned out this doily wall art project in no time. She was doing a test run for doilies that were passed down that her Mother and Grandmother had made. Her test run reminds us of the Spirograph pictures we used to make as children.
They can be as bright and bold as you want, or as calm and cool as you feel they should be to fit in the room. The doily was simply modpodged to a painted board or canvas and then it's wall ready once dry. You can see the full tutorial here: The Craft Doily Project
