Watching Boardwalk Empire last night, it's no wonder I got the urge to set up a bar in my house — prepped for entertaining drop-in guests at a moment's notice. Etched glasses add a note of old-fashioned elegance to the cocktail hour. If your glasses are like mine — a jumble of jelly jar glasses, tumblers from the dollar store and old candle glasses — use this tutorial from I Still Love You we rediscovered in our bookmarks to give the impression they all belong in a set.
After deciding on a design (a monogram, with the last initial large and centered, is traditional), gather up contact paper, a brush, some Armour Etch Acid and a pencil and follow Melissa's clear step by step instructions.
With your glasses complete, an Art Deco bar cart displays your handiwork elegantly. And don't forget the cocktails! We're liking these seasonal apple cider cocktails to both usher in the fall and to give a subtle nod to the orchard scene in last night's episode.

So what's the verdict on Boardwalk Empire? Do we like it or not? I'm still trying to decide...
This is great - I want to etch the glass window on my front door, but didn't know about the Armour Etch Acid. Now it's a viable project!
watching boardwalk empire makes me want to get my own bar in order as well !
