Are you looking for a unique way to frame your artwork? If you're not a fan of clunky or chunky frames, then this simple trick of using paper tape to frame your artwork and glass or plexi is for you. It comes together in a snap and looks super clean and crisp to boot!
Frames can be expensive depending on the style you're looking for. Sure you can find them at thrift stores, but more often than not, it's a happy surprise when you happen upon a cool one because it certainly doesn't happen every visit. This simple idea uses paper tape (the kind you get wet) to keep your artwork, mat board, and glass all together and trimmed up nice and neat.
Jordan over at Oh Happy Day spotted this fun trick at the home of a friend and has recreated and shared it with us. Although it might seem more permanent, you could easily make a pouch for your photos or artwork to slide in and out of, allowing you to change things without un-framing things each time. Are you ready to see how it's done?

UMM this is genius. doing this. now.
Why does no one else think this is genius?
mojones, maybe it's because others thought like I do: That you'd have to be super-exacting to make this look good - otherwise it's just one step up from tacking an unframed picture to the wall. Dunno. I'd appreciate it elsewhere, but I wouldn't have the dexterity to do it right.
That looks just like..hmmmm... a paper frame.
