Chris sent me the link to his very pro-looking, yet totally DIY house number how to project. It's a classic house number style choice for any modernist loving homeowner AND could be your weekend project…

As Chris mentions in his post on Curbly, the now-classic Richard Neutra-designed house numbers are still in production, but if you have the need to save some money and the desire to show off your handiwork, a set of 4 of these will set you back less than half ($20) of the cost of just one of the aluminum numbers ($48 each).

Shaw's Original Fir...
I did a project a lot like that, although I like those numbers quite a bit more. I got my numbers from Home depot, I think. It's been a while now. See mine here!
these look great!!
I think I'm in the "pay for convenience" category on this level of DIY though... I'd rather spend an extra $150 and save my perfectionist self from the agony of trying to get the letters perfect without any woodworking skills (I'd definitely have to make each letter more than once after I accidentally sheared off a stem with the jigsaw)
The Home Depot letters that "A Little Paint" found (comment above) actually look pretty awesome too!
Those look great!
Not in Home Depot in Canada. We got ripped off.
rapidtransitman, I got mine in Canada - exact font as ALittlePaint got but at Lowe's.
Yeah I'm in Canada and I haven't seen anything like these and there's no Lowe's in my city.
