There are diy instruments and then there are these guitars. These guitars go above and beyond to make real rubberband strings that play and are sturdy enough for more than just a night's worth of play. The adults in your household will want to play with them as much as the kids because these are hands down the coolest play guitars we've ever seen!

These guitars were made by the sweet Dad filling in for crafty Momma, Ashley, of Make It And Love It over the past Christmas break. We're so glad they shared their adventure because this craft is super smart and easy to put together.

The guitars are made from multiple layers and even have a working bridge that holds the rubberband strings up away from the piece, allowing them to be played. Make sure to swing by Make It and Love It for the step by step instructions especially if you have musically inclined children in your household.

Ashley of Make It and Love It always has something wonderful up her sleeve - you can read more about her and her blog in our Big Blog Family profile of her.
