Plenty of people are shunning their desktops in favor of more mobile laptop offices. The ability to work from your desk, sofa or a table at the coffee shop up the road is truly a modern luxury. But how many of you laptop nomads strive to really make yourself at home in a new spot? It's more than just a comfy pillow. Check out some ways to really sell the idea—and maybe irritate a few baristas in the process.

Please don't decorate your favorite "free-wifi" cafe before you check with a manager. Take these suggestions with a grain of salt and a dash of humor. But we're hoping you just might spot something that's perfect for your office—wherever that may be.

A peel-and-stick white board one-ups your mobile office by creating an instant mobile conference room. Grab one from Whitey Board for $10-$30.

Peel-and-stick artwork from Color Mailer means you can hang up your favorite poster or your company logo to claim your Starbucks nook.

With plenty of outlets nearby, you'll have plenty of empty sockets to dedicate to decorating. A non-electrical plugged-in bud vase gives you the down home comforts of fresh flowers without taking up space on your too-tiny coffee table.

Make a serious instant office anywhere with a set of concentric geometric shelves. Timo Wong and Priscilla's One-Shelves are a set of nested boxes that unpack to expand into a full-on office.

No more spots at your local wi-fi haunt? When a cardboard desk and a plastic chair each come in their own flat packs, you can get to work anywhere.
