It never ceases to amaze us how some wood filler, paint, new hardware and switching the drawer order around can transform a plain-Jane piece of furniture into something pretty snazzy.

We think labeling the drawers is a handy touch too. If you are about to embark on a project of this sort for the very first time, then hopping over to Bower Power is a great place start; they have loads of photos including each step of their process. For a child's room you might switch up the hardware for something more playful.

Hmmm...that's making me rethink the idea of a dresser in my entryway. I thought it would look too much like a dresser, but this makeover is beautiful!
amazing job.
Great job!
i love this smiling dresser!
I like how the dresser is smiling in the 'after'.
Great Job, I am also thinking of doing a selfie project like this.
I have the exact same dresser as the before, except half the width with only one bank of drawers! My husband was skeptical about any DIY projects to fix its (ahem) beautiful hardware and scuffed finish. But now I'm armed with internet Before and Afters...
Thanks!

Cool. The labeling does it.
