When Judith moved into her home, the only available bathroom was upstairs--which was super inconvenient. Instead of extending her homes space, Judith said goodbye to the downstairs coat closet and repurposed it as her powder room.
You can still see the shelf and spot for the bar where coats used to hang. We love the placement of a dark wooden cabinet above--taking our focus upwards. The artwork hanging from ceiling to below eye-level also makes us focus on anything but the teeny size of the converted powder room.

A stacking washer dryer unit makes the most of a small laundry closet. Again, using every inch, shelving utilizes vertical space for storing laundry detergent and utility room supplies.

Large, decorative hooks are an extra space for clean clothes to land.

A retractable clothes line allows for a secure place to dry delicates.

seems like the washer machine or dryer would be really hard to get to on top like that. maybe b/c i'm only 5' tall... i like the idea though but isn't it hard to reach the buttons?
wow, very smart & efficient use of space! looks great too.
That powder room is really well done and looks so elegant. The high ceiling and the artwork really "make" it.

I think you'd be fine, my wife is 5' and she has no problem, the stack should be under 6', I'm 6'1 and I can see the top level of my similar units.
Fantastic use of space! And great organization, too.
The stacked washer and dryer in particular, interests me.
I, too, was wondering about the height issue (I'm 5'2").
Thanks, funstraw, for your comment - it was very helpful!
I envy anyone who has a laundry closet, much less one that's as nicely organized and decorated as this one.
Very smart use of space!
Whereas I like elements of the coat-closet/bathroom shown, I really think this decor would emphasise the deep narrowness of the space rather than making it seem more spacious.
