The Manifold Clock uses the structure that most wall mounted clock use - two hands that indicate minutes and hours. But with the Manifold, there is a a colourful manifold
of printed tyvek attached to these hour hands.
The result is a flowing piece of color that changes within each hour throughout the day. Reading this clock may need some getting used to, because rather than identifying the time with numbers, the Manifold Clock uses colors.
Check out this video to see just how the Manifold Clock works.

this is wonderful!
I watched the full rotation video.
While I would have a learning curve (can't avoid the pun), I can see how a month in or so, this would be simple to read.
Definitely changes clock watching!
It's a visual delight, but after exploring the web site and video I have yet to unearth how it is powered? Batteries? Current? Wind-up spring? Magic?
Fab~ sort of like the idea of maritime signal flags? A monochrome version may have less learning curve if you just want 'boring' ol' utility:P
I like it as sculpture, especially if I can have custom color choices! But I'll stick to digital clocks to tell the time!
I would never again know what time it is.
That looks like some weird object that would be in a dream...
I just bought one. It takes 1 AA battery. Looks great!
