The inspiration for this clock design is exactly what it looks like: UK designer Brendan Young dropped a handful of antique clock hands on the floor and traced their outline. We love it because we get a Victorian feel without an actual Victorian clock, the essence of which is concentrated in the shape of the hands anyway.
While the thin red hands on a black ground is pretty sharp, Manimani (we believe this is a latin root for "hands," twice) comes in a surprising number of hand/clock color combos: rusty with gold hands above, but also white, brushed stainless or orange with black hands. Each clock is laser cut steel, and can either hang or stand.
The clock comes in two sizes; large (£86) is about 25 inches. at the widest point across, and the small (£48) is about half that at 12 inches. See more designs and order here.
