Q: I recently scored this walnut headboard with a checkerboard detail from Craigslist. Then, browsing ebay just a few days later, I ran across its cousin the sideboard. Obviously there was a range of pieces with this design - I wondered if any readers might know its name. I'd love to find a matching dresser and nightstand.

Howard Butcher Bloc...
I think they are made by Lane

Sorry for that link. Use Etsy to search the following-
Vintage Mid Century Modern End Tables by Lane
A larger more detailed picture would be nice. It's hard to tell from a thumbnail. The walnut means it's most likely American. Paul Lazslo did a checker series for Brown Saltman but the headboard looked nothing like that. It looks like Lane or Drexel to me.
So hard to tell what we're looking at from that tiny photo...
...but it does appear that it could be one of the Lane pieces designed by Paul Evans.

Not Jocelyn's fault... but, ugh, tiny photos!
Yes, I actually sent a good-sized picture in with my question. If anyone's still reading this, I also sent a link to the matching item on ebay, which you can see here: Matching Sideboard
lupinelle , that sideboard would make a great dresser but it is expensive. Will the ebay sell give you a manufacturer?
