The other day we finally had a chance to flip through Dressing the Home: The Private Spaces of Top Fashion Designers. The book includes designers Catherine Malandrino, Betsey Johnson, and Diane von Furstenberg, but we were intrigued to see the space of french fashion designer Marcel Marongiu. Not long ago, we featured his tiny Paris apartment and were interested to see how this larger home compared. This slide show is only a sampling of the photos found in the book, but they do give you a good sense of the space.
The mixture of styles that we saw in Marcel's Paris apartment is definitely echoed in this space. We absolutely love the rooms that seem to refer to his Swedish heritage.
We want to mention that the book is more than just pretty pictures. Each designer was asked to respond to a series of questions about interior decoration and about how their work in fashion influenced their living space.
Dressing the Home: The Private Spaces of Top Fashion Designers is available from Amazon or New Yorkers can also find the British version of the book at the New York Public Library.
