I love the building that it's in - a prewar building built off of the Denver Art District. The apartment while small still feels open and bright. My goal was to make it feel like a suite in a fun boutique hotel.

Edit... While at heart I'm a maximalist. I still wanted to make sure I could walk through the space. Going through closets, drawers and editing what goes on tables helps keep the place bright.
Surround yourself in what you love... You don't have space for filler. Try to get what you love first.
Make the bed... It always makes the space seem cleaner and more spacious when the bed is made.
