After Margot's first birthday party we realized she had way too many toys, and those toys were scattered all over our house. We decided it was time for us to turn our unused guest room into Margot's Playroom (and our office).

I wanted to do something different. I decided I would paint a mural on her wall! I think my husband laughed when I told him this. The mural turned out great and so began the decorating!

My husband built a desk onto some Ikea storage cubes, this would act a room divider between the playroom and the office. I then painted some old storage bins with leftover paint from the mural.

We later decided that we needed to add a little something to the other wall in her room. We opted for an ABC Wall! We painted all the letters with leftover paint and stuck them to the wall.

Finally, we built Margot a kitchen set that would match her playroom. We bought a used cabinet from Habitat for Humanity ReStore and with a few tweaks turned it into the perfect kitchen.

Thanks, Emily! You can see more photos of Margot's space on Emily's website Simply Home Love.
