- Inspiration for my palette:
- My husband's orange sixties-design armchair was my first inspiration in this room.To highlight it, I made a warm/cold contrast with the grey-blue wall.
- Colors used in my room
- Grey, blue, orange, red, yellow and white.
- Tips for using color successfully
- Small touches of colors on a white or grey neutral background. Warm/cold contrast is a good solution too. You also have to think about light, it's the most important thing to create a cozy and warm atmosphere.

What's the name of the blue paint you used -- I love it!
Beautiful and relaxed. That chair is a good thing. :)
Its such a chirpy room! Love the yellow and blue!
Thanks. Sorry I can't tell you exactly the name... it's a special mix made by a french store.
What is that heater? I'm intrigued.
It's a wood-burning stove from the french firm "turbo fonte", it's the "tasmania" brand.
I know this is a minor thing, but I LOVE the Christmas lights around the mirror! That is such a funky little way to jazz up a standard piece of furniture. Love this room, it's like Wes Anderson Redux :)
It's amazing how much that rug warms up all the tile in the room. A little texture makes a big difference! Good work.
I like the snowy art over the table -- it captures the way the room has a simple, clean vibrance without being TOO bright.
thank you Jenini!
Thanks Brian.
