We always associate Marimekko with a childhood memory of huge bolts of the colorful Finnish textiles in a great little shop in Carmel. But years later, the simple, bold patterns still seem fresh rather than dated or retro. Just check out Always Mod -- they happen to be having a sale of all things Marimekko.

They're also all on sale on www.reprodepot.com.
Sorry for not linking: Marimekko at ReproDepot.com.
Does anyone know where that chair with the gold accents is from?
Aaaargh! No more Unikko-fabric (the one in the bedding)!
You can't help missing it if you're in Finland â it's the ultimate mommy/housewife -gear. In hats, bags, jackets, wallets... you name it! They even made a tv with this pattern.
Toooo much already!
I used to have these as curtains...before they became the mommy-phenomenon.
Well, I just visited the site: I'm doomed. I'm going to go bankrupt.
The Unikko fabric is a little overwhelming, but their other patterns, especially the floral/plant prints, are lovely.
Thanks for posting this - after looking at hundreds of throw pillows, my husband and I finally found some we agree on (Kirsikka) for our grey couch.
Yay!
All things Marimekko are on sale at FinnStyle, too, oddly enough (and that would be finnstyle.com).
Anyway, I don't actually like the Unikko print, but I love some of the less loud Marimekko prints. I'm kind of a fabric junkie, so it makes great wall art for me.
I'm wondering about the chair as well. Anyone?
Where do they sell it around NYC? I love that dogwood(?) blossom print.
