February 1: "Colori Me Red" Chicago native Michelle Herzog is the owner of the Bucktown color-consulting paint boutique, Colori. The shop sells the high pigment C2 line of paints and is hosting an event to celebrate the color red.

Michelle will be on hand to advise and talk up the virtues of the fiery hue. Nourhy Chiriboga of the NOW studio will be doing color readings as well - find out which colors are best suited to your energy...the party is from 7pm - 10pm. Colori is at 2243 W. North. Ave.

Registration open now for April 17 -20: Coverings, the mega-gigantic floor covering trade show is being held in Chicago this year (after 5 years in Orlando). On view will be 1200 exhibits and lots of installation inspiration. Designers should note that for this event it is possible to invite up to two non-trade guests to attend.
