Massage Chairs For the Modern Home

After a long stressful day at work, there's nothing quite like coming home to a good 'ol massage. Although there are a number of massage chairs out there, traditional ones tend to look frumpy, bulky and outdated. We've found a few stylish options that will blend nicely into your modern home as well as help you unwind.

Panasonic EP-MS40 Sofa Chair ($2,495) - The EP-MS40 is definitely the best looking chair of the bunch and would look great in traditional and modern spaces alike. It's pretty compact compared to the other massage chairs Panasonic offers, mostly due to its fold-in ottoman. The EP-MS40's contemporary design is so clean and discreet that it hardly looks like a massage chair at all.

OSIM uSoffa Petit ($699) - The uSoffa Petit is similar in size and price to the Inada CUBE. OSIM calls this a little massage sofa and since it doesn't have a full backrest at first glance, it looks like a normal armchair. While its compact size is ideal for smaller spaces, it only allows for massaging of the lower back and legs. Available in 5 color options, you can choose which uSoffa Petit best matches the style of your space.

Inada CUBE ($799) - This unique and affordable massage chair actually folds up into a cube that can be stored away or used as a footstool, making it super practical for those tight on space. A Japanese shiatsu specialist developed its 4 pre-programmed massage sessions and the intensity of the massage can be adjusted via a control panel contained in the footwell. Available in red, black and white.

AcuTouch 9500 ($5,199) - While the AcuTouch looks more like a traditional massage chair, it certainly has the most tech built in. With its free iOS HT-Connect app, it lets you customize your chair's massage programs with an iPad or iPhone. It also has some pretty neat features such as remembering your favorite settings and selecting on the touch screen exactly where you'd like to be massaged.
