British designer Matthew Williamson is popping up everywhere we look lately — the new Matthew Williamson boutique opened last month in the Meatpacking District and Matthew's collaboration with H&M launches April 23. Last week I got a preview of the new rug collection from his collaboration with London-based The Rug Company and I could see his bold patterns and bright colors underfoot...
• 1 & 2 Our personal favorite in the collection is Tribe — hand-knotted Tibetan wool with a dash of Williamson's iconic color! ($87.50 a square foot)
• 3 & 4 Sunset — hand-knotted Tibetan wool. ($87.50 a square foot)
• 5 & 6 Peacock Light — hand-knotted Tibetan wool and silk. ($140 a square foot)
• 7 & 8 Peacock Dark — hand-knotted Tibetan wool and silk. ($140 a square foot)
While outside of the "affordable" range, these rugs are very high-quality and will last for years and years with proper care. Which Matthew Williamson rug would you choose?

The rugs are okay, but THAT COUCH! I love it. Anyone know of a site that sells something similar in that vibrant pink? I'm sure its an antique and reupolstered, but I can try . . .
I love the peacock rug. The others are kinda not my style.
Not a fan of the rugs - but that Pink Sofa is splendid!
peacock, baby! peacock all the way. i spied that in a mag recently (probably living etc) and have been mad for it. that's how i found out he just opened a store in nyc. i've been dreaming of going to his store in london. and now the pound sterling has finally come down to a reasonable exchange rate...
that rug pattern is the same one as his duvet in domino last year. please market that duvet. please allow me to own exquisite matthew williamson peacock.
As fabric and rug patterns go, these are definitely a cut above most I've seen; I'd consider the first one in my home.
Wow, the peacock rugs! I'm speechless. Love.
I'm still obsessed with the Paul Smith "Swirl" Rug from The Rug Company, even though it's been out a little while. I even recently saw a secondhand one on ebay that was very tempting, but ultimately it was still very much out of my budget :-(
I am kind of obsessed with peacocks, so that rug is kind of a dream!
They featured this rug and his line in House and Garden a few years ago. I love love love it. Oh, how I miss that magazine.
that looks oddly familiar to a thomaspaul rug...see http://pillowsandthrows.com/tprfepc35.html
Like the Peacock Rug. Does anyone know what it costs?
