The Matthiessen Tray Table has both beauty and utility to spare. Made by artisan carpenter Richard Wrightman, this folding tray table (and all its cousins) is height-adjustable, making it suitable for impromptu meals in the living room. This is a really nice bit of flex to build into a small home that lacks a real dining space. (There was a great thread on AT-NY on height-adjustable coffee tables some time ago. This is one that should be added to the mix.) Wrightman says he sells primarily to the trade and through designer showroom. He's repped in in San Francisco by De Sousa Hughes showroom. The 22x30 tray table is $1808 and the 14x30 is $1692.
