Maurizio Pellegrin's art studio is in a former 13th century Palazzo in the middle of Venice, Italy. The high ceilings, natural light and stunning features make this space the ideal artist studio. Work and living spaces interweave and finished pieces are shown beside works in progress.
A trained painter and sculptor, Maurizio Pellegrin works in mixed media, drawing, photography, film, installation and glass work. A visitor to his studio gets an invaluable glimpse into the artist's processes and current projects — some of which may never make it out of the studio.

Che bella spazio e mi piace l'artista troppo, fortunato.
It looks dark, dreary, and heavy. But it's in Venice, so it's really all about location, location, location here.
Wow, I love the man-grit-euro-gallery feel.
dark? dreary? heavy?
okay, then you saw a different place than i did :-D
love it.
LOVE it!
Huh? Dark, dreary, heavy?
This is an amazing studio!
Very very nice!
Fantastic place, I love the grill above the doorway / aperture.
Interesting .. not my idea of a Venetian studio.
Yes, heavy and dark: heavy, massive dark woods, massive iron bars on windows, gray metalwork and gray kitchen, and the lack of color, excluding some actual pieces related to his work.
The bones of the space are excellent, but as this is a decor/design site mainly for interiors, the space does create a darker mood overall. Obviously, it's his choice, and was not meant to be negative.
mi piace :)
