While we don't believe that you have to run out to The Container Store every time you need a container for your belongings, sometimes the right product can be invaluable. For instance, when we're organizing a closet space or a room with shelving, there's a product we love to use for maximizing storage space...
The undershelf basket is great for utilizing vertical space that can't be reached with stackable containers. Especially in spaces like a clothes closet or a single shelf in the office space. Great for sweaters, scarves and mittens in the closet, the wire baskets won't need a label to identify what's inside. In the office, an undershelf basket is great for active paperwork or an in/outbox. And don't forget their original use in the kitchen for storing spices, mugs, kitchen towels and saran wrap.

I love these! Use them in my kitchen cupboards for coffee mugs and in my laundry room for cleaning towels. Like the idea of using for saran wrap! Moving in a few days and think I'll use this idea!!
That meshy one would be great for the shot glasses in my cupboard that always seem to be in the way.
i have two of these. one that i use in my pantry for pasta, and another that i use in my utility closet for sponges and brushes. In my teeny house they save a lot of space, and keep me from looking all over for the small stuff.
I love these!
I use 1 in the dish cabinet for salad plates, 1 in the pantry for potatoes and onions, and 1 more for tin foil, saran wrap, and ziplocks!
It saves a ton of space. I really like the idea of using the for towels as well. I think I may implement that one this weekend.....
The best part is that they are super cheap at The Container Store!
I got a bunch in a set at Walmart - managed to get one of the undershelf and 2 that sit on top of the shelf into the cupboard where I keep all my eating/serving/mixing plates/bowls/platters. I have arthritis in my hands and sometimes wouldn't be able to lift the stacks down to get to something. Now, it's so easy to reach and lift down one or two items, instead of 5 or 6.
I love these too! I have the one pictured, I use it in my "kid cabinet" to organize all of my son's little baby dishes.
I use them in my closet - they hold scarves, belts, and the 'going out' purses that don't hold anything more than keys and a credit card.
I got one for our pantry to hold potatos and other veggies that keep better in the dark - the wire seems to allow for more air cirrculation than the solid plastic bin we were using before, so so far, no rotten or sprouting potatos! Got ours from K-Mart - they were even less expensive there than at the container store.
