Photo booths at Halloween parties are like water in the desert — a welcome respite from social dryness, and an instant boost for your crowd. Even if guests say they don't like having their photos taken, everyone lets go for a minute or two, and relaxes their guard enough to get in on it. It's also a great way to document your guests — in all their costumed glory — for posterity.

BOOTH SET UP

For Maxwell and Ursula's Halloween party, we created a backdrop using yards of fabric and fringe. It was fit for a palm reader to spin her fortunes for eager guests.

COSTUMES

Guests were encouraged to either come in costume, or arrive in a basic all-black outfit. On hand for the party were a series of costume elements, which could be slipped on and worn for a photo or two. In addition to a princess and one very scary ghost, a unicorn, fox, vulture and owl also made an appearance.
