Name: Maya (6 months)
Location: U.S.
All room designs have their point of inspiration and Maya's soon-to-be-nursery was no exception, with the inspiration for her room coming from a wonderful piece of fabric that I serendipitously found one day while browsing in the fabulous Rock Paper Scissors store in my hometown of Montclair, NJ, just a few miles drive outside of New York City.
The fabric immediately caught my eye and "voila!"; I had determined the color scheme and the mood of the room, with a whimsical blend of style, warmth and color that gave the cheerful and welcoming feel required for a baby's room.
Now, living in a home over 100 years in age, we are still in the process of installing new floors, as well as coaxing the baseboard, crown moldings, paint, etc. into working with walls and floors that can barely boast a right angle among them. The room is quite small at only 9′X10′ and thus brought with it a number of challenges.

Adorable! Are the curtains made out of the fabric that inspired you?
It is a beauty space..!

Love the Ikea rocking moose! I have that one too.
Love it!!!
I freaking love this room!! where are you changing her diaper? and do all her clothes/sheets/etc fit in that closet?
I've never been a fan of pink but this room is so freaking cute. I too like those curtains and that hanging lamp shade is super cool.
I too echo GG_MS; where is her changing table? If you do minor reconstruction of the closet, you can get a 2nd pole installed really easy and move the shelf up a bit if you can. Head over to a home store and you can have a 'dowle' cut to size and install 'cups' (not sure what they are called) and install the pole. Bang, second space for hanging clothes for your little one.
Pop or drench?
That's one pretty saturated color room.
Don't get me wrong, I love this but pop?
Stretching it a bit.
That's gotta be one very happy little baby.
Looks cheerful!
I WANT that orange lamp. Where is it from? Thank you!
I love this! I'm planning to do something similar in my daughter's nursery in our new house with one punchy pink and three white walls, and colorful floral curtains. Her room will be 10x10 ish with a closet just slightly wider. Great job!
Thank you so much!!!
You can find more details and source list here and here
The wall paint is Benjamin Moore - Cactus Flower
Also, I did not have space for a changing station in the room so I change Maya in her crib.
The closet is enough for all her cloths and the sheets/blankets are placed in the drawer of her crib.
Cute!
What a vibrant room!
Love love love. I want to move in. :)
Keren, thanks for the source list! what are you going to do when you have to lower the crib?
Now this is a lot of fun.
Laughing at the "hipster gray nursery" comment by THORNDALE. Too true!
Wow. Wonderful color and those curtains are awesome! Love it.
This is so cute. I like the pink with that orange lamp.
Beautiful room. I think this is pink done right. It is a fun pink and it is mixed in beautifully with the other colors.
I just bought two of those rubbery bins from Target in turquoise to go in my son's room...got tired of toys being scattered everywhere all the time. He is 7 months.
@CUMINAFTERALL - Yes - this is the one :)
@ALSWEETGUM - yes!! Target! I love those I bought 8 of them for the playroom in green and turquoise - I made a icon labels for each of them so my 5 year old would know where to put things back. I think they were 6 or 7 dollars each. They are perfect.
Love it! I don't think you need a changing table. Once the crib's lowered, its just as easy to change a child on the floor as anyplace.
I love RPS! Beth gets the best fabric and supplies.
This is a great pop of pink, without going overboard.
