- Inspiration for my palette:
- All the color inspiration came from the refrigerator which we found on sale at an outlet store. I wanted something small and nice looking since it would be a stand-alone item in the kitchen. All the color choices stemmed from that one purchase.
- Colors used in my room
- orange, red, grey, gold, teal, sky blue
- Tips for using color successfully
- I let my instinct guide me and didn't listen to all the naysayers who told me the colors wouldn't work or that they were too bright. I'm not afraid of color and if it doesn't work out just paint it over!

I think your risk-taking paid off. It SINGS!
Love love love love love the look of this space!!!!
That orange fridge... dying over here!
Very cute, I really like the wall color and the pop of orange and colors in the curtains.
I love, love, love this kitchen!
YES to that orange fridge!! That is pure awesome :)
Ha! Your fridge made me smile. Where did you get it?!
Fantastic! What a great room! And that fridge is AMAZEBALLS! Love your attitude about color: if it doesn't look good, just paint over it!
fantastic color!
So glad to receive the positive comments! The fridge was from Sears outlet in San Leandro. The place is amazing and the salespeople were sad to see the little guy finally go.
This room comes from someone who organizes the apps on her phone by color and once cancelled a credit card because it was just so ugly...
Do people pick their own names for this contest? Because sometimes they seem a little misleading...would expect to see a lot more orange for the title.
But ANYWAY - I adore this room and all the colors in it. That fridge is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time and makes me look at my sad off-white Frigidaire with great sadness. Overall - Well done!
I really w ith there was more orange in the space, espeically the dining area. I really love that you have a Smeg fridge, those things are not cheap, and don't hold a lot of food either
:( but either way I like it. Maybe a orange Stokee Trip Trap?? Or maybe an orange Bloom Nano High chair?? Just throwing some options out there for ya.
The fridge only works for us because we have a separate freezer hiding in the laundry room (cheating I know). I cook a lot and there's always leftovers. Going on adding some more orange in the form of an enamel dutch oven but I don't want the room to be too matchy. I actually do own a Stokee but I got the green cushion.
The contestants choose the names and I picked it because we fell in love with the fridge after seeing it in the drab warehouse surrounded by it's white and stainless steel cousins. BTW why not just spray paint your fridge?
I love the orange fridge, and I appreciate that the space looks well though out in an achievable way. The currents are lovely, too!
What also helps this room to work is the clean lines of the counter tops and floor. That way there are places for the eyes to rest, a calm backdrop to let the colors sing! I'm also a big believer in pops of color, and applaud your keen eye. This remodel is best appreciated w/ the before and after, though. Great job for the contractor+designer!
Love the colors and the design is amazing!!!!
Favorite!
orange with envy.
love it!
This one is great!
I love the gas range. Where did you get it??
The color combinations say " come on in..join us ..." I noticed you have a little one too who will like the orange also. :) x many days ahead!
Gas range bought off craigslist for $650. It was a bear to transport and get up the stairs though.
Love the fridge and the stove.
