Mea Culpa: Commenting and IP Ban Issue

It's not you...it's us. No really. If you're one of the few people who have been contacting us bewildered about an IP ban notification while trying to leave a comment, we'd like to apologize and notify you that you have not been banned. This issue only affects a small group of people trying to leave a comment and we're hoping to fix this issue pronto.

We upgraded a server earlier in the week and are still having some minor issues. Please try logging out at http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/superlogout and logging back in, which may resolve the issue. If this does not work, please follow the directions listed below...

what about the issue of not being able to get into the site --the matter of the "BAD REQUEST" error message, when I try to open AT? Is that just me, or are there others with this problem? Is it because of the servers too?

What a relief!!! My own House Tour is being posted tomorrow and I wasn't going to be able to leave comments. Can you imagine?

I was wondering what I had said that was considered offensive...

I knew I said something offensive to someone - I was just surprised that I was banned without prior notice...

It surprised me, but when I refreshed the page it worked. Only happened that once.

I was trying to post a (questionable) comment on the Ktchn about a giant squash and linebacker's calves, so I didn't think twice about the IP refusal. :)

I got a little persnickety in the drunk party thread, and I'm glad.

And bepsf....I once complimented someone for getting sassy, only to find out afterward that the person he was getting sassy at was you. When I realized what I done, I felt bad....I always enjoy looking at a bepsf comment....informative, informed, and sometimes just nice and dry, like a martini. Cheers!

Actually, this was just all a ploy to cast a net and trap you troublemakers all at once! BANNED!

I jest. I was just banned from commenting myself, but was able to comment again by just logging off and back on into my account. Give that a try if all else fails. Or send us a lovely letter and some cash.
