Now this is a clever way of hiding a pc in your living room. Rick over at Ikea Hacker has managed to stuff a media pc into an Ikea Solsta Pallbo footstool with the dvd drive being the only thing visible. Now foot rest and media streamer can live as one.

I'd be worried about heat, with no ventilation out of that footstool. And the harddrive is just floating free in there, a recipe for harddrive failure.
Still a neat idea, if a less than ideal implementation.
Yes, heat would be a concern of mine too....maybe something like acoustic fabric (speaker grill type stuff) could provide enough ventilation while still hiding the components.
