And what colors she loves…
I am completely drawn to and utterly obsessed with dark inky bottom-of-the-lake type hues. So charcoals, petrol blues, olives, blacks, as they make rooms feel so utterly comforting and snugly. No matter the size of the space, large or small, these hues make everything else pop out and look and feel far grander than they really are. In my pad (in the photo above) against a dark backdrop, I’ve upped the ante by accessorizing with some strong shots of colour - think electric blues and bright reds. I call them off-radar colors, but they totally elevate the room to new heights. In order for the whole thing not to look or feel crazy, I’ve reined in the colour palette so only two hues shout for attention. The rest of the colours hang out and quietly do their job. This is one of my favorite rooms— one that I actually never want to leave.
