We're thrilled that three of our favorite design folks could lend their expertise to our judges panel for Small Cool 2013. You met Jason earlier, now say hello to a talented stylist and editor with a super sharp sense of Scandinavian style, Emma of the always wonderful Emmas Designblogg...
A little bit about Emma:
My name is Emma Fexeus, I’m a professional blogger, freelance writer and interior stylist. I started out as a styling assistant working both for magazines and freelancing for various interior stylists. I started Emmas Designblogg in 2005, mostly as a way to store all the information on great new designs that was sent to me in my job as a styling assistant. The blog quickly acquired a loyal crowd of readers (much thanks to links from big blogs like Apartment Therapy), and grew into becoming Sweden’s most visited design blog, with readers from all over the world.
My style is distinctly Scandinavian, but I post work from great designers, stylists and photographers from all over the world, as long as it fits my sense of style.
After taking classes in Interior Styling at Central St Martins College and at Beckmans College of Design, I took the step to start doing my own styling jobs for magazines and advertising.
In March 2013 I released my first book; Northern Delights, Scandinavian Homes, Interiors and Design.
...and her experience living small and cool:
When I was 8, I moved with my family, from the suburbs into the city. At the last minute, when we were already packed and ready to go, we lost the new apartment and had to move into a 38 sqm studio. So me, my little brother, his dad and our mum lived in this cramped space for about a year before finding something bigger. When my friends came to visit they were always asking where the rest of the rooms were!
